A Short History of the Confederate States of America

This book is a condensed version of Davis' magnum opus, The Rise and Fall of the Confederate Government and covers such topics as the causes of the War Between the States, the slavery controversey, the right of secession, the key battles of the war, and the capture or surrender of the Southern leaders. Davis completed the manuscript just two months before he died.
