At a spur-of-the-moment party that Molly and her friend Kate throw, Molly Pearson realizes how much she actually likes Elias Bickler. She doesn’t care that he’s the son of her alcoholic father’s girlfriend, or that he has a speech disorder. The two of them seem to form a connection that night, but after they have an embarrassing fight that ends up on the internet, Molly’s feelings for Elias come to a complete halt.

Elias then thinks up a pretty clever apology involving her webcomic—he’s going to help her bring it to the next level. With the assistance of her army of nerd followers and her friends, Molly and Elias embark on a mission to raise awareness of her work. It might just also raise the feelings that Molly still has for Elias. He might get a second chance after all.
