"By the way. I'm Jerome. You don't know me but that's probably because I'm one of only six survivors of the catastrophic Event. We live in separate sealed apartments and have never seen each other in real life. We've never been outside either - not because we don't want to but because the acid rain would melt the skin off our bodies.

We do have an intranet though so we can videochat whenever we want to.

Sorry. Hang on a minute. There's a noise coming from the kitchen - but that's impossible. There's nobody here but me. There's never been anybody here but me. And there's nothing alive outside. Except giant cockroaches.

Shall I go investigate? I should, but I'm scared.
