• What characteristics or attributes are assigned to people who emulate the standard?

• What are the cultural costs of trying to live up to and/or not living up to this standard?

• How have you attempted to live up to the cultural standard of what is acceptable and desirable?

• Think of how we might change our definitions of beauty and worth.

• How has yoga and/or other mindfulness tools offered healing and self-acceptance?

• When have you felt the most comfortable with and in your body?

• If you haven’t developed a yoga practice or explored other mindfulness tools, what has stopped you?

• Identify three ways you can practice compassion for yourself.

• Begin practicing at least one today.
