Chilean Directioners had to find secret codes and put them into an application in order to win a Go1Den Ticket. The winner was Florence, who had spent two weeks listening to the Top 40 Chile radio station, and going on the social networks of the radio station and Sony Music Chile. Florence was invited to the Go1Den Ticket offices at Sony Music Chile to collect her huge ticket – she couldn’t have been happier. There are over 130,000 Chilean Directioners on the One Direction Chile page on Facebook alone, so Florence had been up against lots of fans who all wanted to win the trip to New York.

In March 2013, some of the Chilean fans travelled all the way to the UK to see the boys perform in Liverpool. A fan called Denisse posted up photos and updates so that all the Chilean fans could experience what she was seeing. One of the photos showed Liam lifting up Harry’s shirt and revealing the butterfly tattoo on his chest.

One Direction Detection Chile is a fan club representing all the Directioners in Chile. The club is run by Ann, Melanie, Paloma, Gabriel, Ale, Javiera and Daniela. They are really passionate about Harry, Niall, Liam, Louis and Zayn, and have organised lots of get-togethers for fans to meet up and talk about the boys. On 23 July 2012, they met up to celebrate the second anniversary of One Direction and had a big party. They even had a 1D cake. For Liam’s 19th birthday, hundreds of Chilean Directioners got together to wish him a happy birthday through a special video. They celebrate all the boys’ birthdays but Liam’s was the first they did that involved a video. To see the video, go to YouTube and search for ‘Happy 19 Birthday Liam Payne From Chile’.

Here are some messages Chilean fans from the fan club want to give to the boys if they ever come to Chile:
