The One Direction Denmark Facebook page is run by Faidao, Fie and Narin and it has 169,000 fans. The girls encourage fans to share positive posts about the boys and to ignore the haters who post negative messages.

Danish fans were so excited when they found out the boys would be performing at the Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning on 5 May 2013 and at the Forum Stadium in Copenhagen on 10 May as part of their World Tour. It would be the first time the boys had ever been to Denmark. Superfan Caroline from Copenhagen got her parents to buy her tickets for the 5 May concert as soon as they came out. Most Danish fans discovered One Direction when they released ‘What Make You Beautiful’. Caroline and her school friends loved watching the video on YouTube; Caroline liked Harry the most but her friends all thought Zayn was the hottest.

Caroline says, ‘My favourite song at the moment is probably “Loved You First” because I know the feeling of loving someone “first” and then seeing them getting together with someone else – I mean, isn’t that what all fans go through?

‘There was a Danish fan event in a little town called Taastrup and it was really great. I went with my best friend Emilie, who I met because we both loved One Direction. They played the new album, we saw the Up All Night Tour and there was a competition where we could win a message to the boys and concert tickets.’

Lotte, 15, from Vekso, loves being a Danish Directioner too, and says, ‘Being a fan in my country is pretty great, I think. One Direction knows where Denmark is and their vocal coach is from Denmark, so that is really cool, I think. And they are coming here on their tour. Also, there are really many Directioners in Denmark. So you are not “alone” and that is great.’

The Danish winner of a Go1Den ticket was Nanna and she took her friend Linea with her. Nanna created a really funny cartoon telling the fictional story of what happened when 1D visited Denmark for the first time. Nanna acted as their guide, taking them around the big Danish landmarks, but then the boys all got bored (apart from Liam) so Nanna showed them the fun things people in Denmark like to do – like visit Legoland (with Ed Sheeran), go swimming (Harry stripped off) and eat Danish food (Niall loved this one). Zayn even got a Danish makeover. To see the video, just search on YouTube for ‘Winner of Bring me to 1D Denmark – Linea & Nanna’. At the end of a video they posted of themselves meeting the boys, a message reads, ‘Huge thank you to everybody who has made this experience possible for us! And thank you to the boys for giving us an amazing and memorable year! Love from Denmark.’

When Linea is older, she wants to work in animation. Her profile on YouTube states, ‘I LOVE LOVE LOVE to draw and I am dreaming of becoming an artist in animation, travelling the world and work with talented artist all around the world!’
