Grown Man

Once they arrived back home, Savage and Aleesha went into their home office and started doing inventory. They calculated how much product they were going to put in which shops, and how much they would sell it for. Savage called Eli as soon as they left Scarface’s and was expecting him at any moment.

They were almost done with the last little bit of paper work, when all of a sudden, Savage received a shocking text message. “What the fuck?” he said as he stared at his Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

“What’s wrong babe?” Aleesha asked her man as she noticed the troubling look on his face.

“Hold on babe, I gotta make a call real quick,” he said as he got up from the desk and left the room. He went outside to the back yard to make sure his fiancé didn’t overhear his conversation.

“Bitch what the fuck?” Savage said into the phone, trying not to raise his voice.

“What do you mean, ‘what the fuck’? And don’t call me out of my name, Savage,” she said back, raising her voice all the while.

“Man don’t be textin’ me no shit like that.”

“I wouldn’t just text you that for no reason, stupid ass.”

“Fuck man. Yo ass stay playin’ games.”

“Ain’t nobody playin’ games, nigga. I wouldn’t make up no shit like this.”

“Man I swear to God if you lyin’, I’ma fuck you up.”

“One, you’re not going to do shit. Two, don’t ever threaten me again. I don’t know who the fuck you think you are.”

“Shut the fuck up with all that.”

“Whatever. So are you comin’ back or not?”

“Fuck!” he screamed. “Yeah man. You better be glad I got other shit to take care of.”

“Whatever. When are you gonna be out here?”

“I’ll be out there tomorrow.”

“Don’t lie to me.”

“Man, bye,” Savage said as he hung up. He walked back into the house and into the office.

“Everything okay, babe?” Aleesha asked. She had already finished the last of the paperwork, and was rolling up a blunt for them to enjoy.

“Nah, I gotta head back to the I.E.,” he replied back, gathering his things.

“Are you serious? What the fuck for?” Aleesha asked, knowing she was about to hear some bullshit.

“I got this real important meetin’ in a few days,” Savage humbly stated.

WE,” she said with emphasis, “don’t have a meeting with anyone for the next couple of weeks.”

“I know. I said I have a meeting.”

“The fuck. With who?” she asked, getting angry.

“I can’t tell you all that right now,” he said, hurrying to gather the last of his things. “Look babe, I will be back in a few days, a week tops. Stay up here, relax, and start plannin’ the weddin’.”

“There won’t be a wedding if I find out yo sneaky ass is lying,” she said as she stared at him. She could tell he was lying because he wasn’t trying to look her in the face.

“Man babe it’s not even like that. Please just trust me this one time,” he said as he finally looked at her with pleading eyes.

“Uh huh. Let me find out,” she said, not believing one thing he said.

“Babe, I promise. I’ll make it up to you as soon as I get back,” he vowed.

“Yeah, whatever,” she said as she shook her head.

“Look, I’ll handle the business with the shops so that we can stay up here longer. And I promise when I come back I will make it up to you,” he restated.

“Okay,” she said, giving up. “You just better call me when you touch down.”

“I will babe. I love you.”

“I love you too,” Aleesha said as she and Savage kissed. Then he was out the door.

Aleesha had a gut feeling that Savage was lying to her, but she didn’t want to push the issue anymore. She was tired of stressing over him and the dirt he was or wasn’t doing. As long as that shit stops once we’re married, she thought to herself. In the meantime, she smoked the blunt and waited for Eli to show up.

As soon as Savage touched down in the I.E., he went home and called Aleesha to let her know he made it safely, then a few minutes after laying down he was knocked out.  The next day when he woke up, he decided to pay his mom a visit before he made a stop that he was surely going to regret.

About a year back, Savage purchased his mom a condo in Moreno Valley, with a brand new 2013 E550 Mercedes-Benz. He pulled up into the driveway and parked next to her car. He had a spare key to the house so he let himself in and found Debra in the kitchen, smoking and playing cards with one of her friends.

“How you doin’, mom?” Savage asked as he gave her a kiss on the cheek, frightening her.

“Shit!” Debra yelled as she took a deep breath and held her chest. “Nigga, you scared me. But I’m good. How you doin’?” she asked as she continued her card game.

“Good,” Savage said as he took a seat at the table. “Hey, Niecy,” he said to her friend.

“Hey, Sav,” Niecy simply replied back.

“Where’s my daughter-in-law at?” Debra asked, stopping to look at him.

“She’s still in Oakland,” he said, looking at his mom. He always thought he got his looks from her, but now he couldn’t see the resemblance besides their eye color. She was brown skinned with high cheek bones, a small nose, and small lips. She was a few inches shorter than him, and had a slim but curvaceous figure.

“What are you doin’ down here? I thought y’all would be up there for a week?” she asked as she passed him the blunt and continued playing cards.

“Yeah we was, but I gotta take care of some business,” he said as he hit the blunt.

“You know that ex of yours called me the other day.”

“Man, sayin’ what?” he asked as he hit the blunt again. He passed it to Niecy. “How did she get your number anyway?”

“She’s been havin’ it,” Debra stated annoyingly. “But you need to take care of your business.”

“Man mom that bitch is crazy,” Savage said as he shook his head. “Don’t believe that shit.”

“I don’t care if she’s crazy or not, you keep goin’ back fuckin’ around with her,” she acknowledged. “I told you to stay away from her the first time y’all broke up. You better hope she don’t go to Aleesha wit’ that shit.”

“She not, she ain’t that crazy,” he stated knowingly.

“Boy,” Debra said as she stopped to look at her son, “a woman’s emotions is nothin’ to play around wit’. You don’t know what she’s capable of.”

“I know.”

“Well if you know, act like it,” Debra said as Niecy passed her the blunt. She took a hit then continued playing cards. “These girls don’t deserve to be played around wit’.”

Savage sighed, but agreed with his mom. He told her and Niecy he’d see them later, gave out big hugs, then he was out the door. He hopped in his Charger and was on his way to handle his business.

“Might as well get this bullshit over wit’,” he said aloud as he drove to his first destination. Savage arrived at Noelle’s apartment and knocked on the door.

“Hey baby!” she squealed excitedly as soon as she answered the door, wearing nothing but a t-shirt that was barely long enough to cover her pussy.

“I’m not yo fuckin’ baby,” Savage spat, walking inside. He refused to sit down because he didn’t plan on staying that long.

“Don’t come over here on no stupid shit, Savage,” Noelle said, taking a seat on the couch.

“You on that stupid shit,” he countered.

“Yeah whatever,” she said as she rolled her eyes. “Anyway baby daddy we need to start discussing this whole parenting thing.”

“Ain’t no ‘parenting thing’,” he said, mocking her. “Yo ass probably ain’t even nowhere near pregnant. I don’t know why the fuck I even came over here.”

“Why the fuck would I lie about somethin’ like this?” she asked, starting to put on a show. Her eyes started watering and tears were about to drip from her eyes.

“I swear yo dramatic ass ... fuck, man ...”

“Whatever, I knew this shit was going to happen,” Noelle said sadly, still putting up the act.

“Yeah, you should have known. Like I been told yo ass, I’m not fuckin’ wit’ you no more. You just tryna trap a nigga.”

“Nigga, don’t nobody want yo triflin’ ass but the dumb bitch you wit’.”

“Don’t call my girl out of her name, bitch!” he yelled as he felt his temperature rising.

“Don’t call me out of my name!” she yelled back.

“Man whatever. I’m out,” Savage said, walking toward the door. He had his hand on the handle when Noelle stopped him.

“Look,” she began, as she handed him the at home pregnancy test she had taken. It read: positive.

“Anyone could have pissed on this,” he said, handing her back the stick.

“Really, Savage? I’m gonna stoop that low. You must have me mistaken for another bitch, but it’s cool, cuz I’m abortin’ this baby. I don’t want it and I definitely don’t want you.”

“Good!” Savage yelled, giving her a round of applause. “Get an abortion. Lose my number. Don’t text me, call me, Facebook me, DM me, tweet me, none of that shit. I been through with you and I damn sure don’t want shit to do with you now,” he said with a look of disgust as he left out the door.

“Bitch nigga,” Noelle murmured as soon as he closed the door.

Savage had so many thoughts racing through his mind. All he wanted to do was go home and clear his head. He didn’t believe in abortions, but knew that if Noelle was pregnant with his child it would ruin his relationship with Aleesha. He was somewhat relieved she was going to have the abortion, if she really was even pregnant. But no matter how bad he wanted that to be his last encounter with her, he knew he would have to face her again, at least to make sure that she went through with the abortion.

The next morning, Savage got straight down to business. He stopped by the other dispensaries they decided to put the new product in, which were the two in San Bernardino. After all that was taken care of, he headed to his other home in Los Angeles.

Once he arrived there, he took a shower and freshened up. Although he hid the fact that he came back to SoCal for Noelle, he really had an important meeting to attend. He was in the process of starting his own music producing company, and he had a dinner meeting with an investor that night. He had kept it a secret from everyone, and wanted to surprise Aleesha when the time was right, if it ever happened. He wanted to make sure they always had a steady stream of money coming in, and this was another way he planned to make sure it was. Plus, his love for music—and lack of real talent with today’s artists—motivated him even more to chase this small dream.

After the two-hour meeting, Savage was overstressed, overworked and needed some much desired relaxation. For him, that meant a fifth of Hennessey, some fire weed and a random bitch’s ass in his face. He called Mac to roll with him to Freaky Fridayz, a strip club in LA. When Mac made it to LA, he met Savage at his house and they rolled to the strip club in Mac’s car. They got a private room and invited two strippers named Chocolate and Juicy Fruit, to join.

After making it rain and tossing around bills all night, Savage and Mac were ready to go to a hotel and finish their fun. Even though Savage had a home in the same city, he would never do anything as disrespectful again as inviting another female there, so he and Mac rented a room and went their separate ways.

Savage had been flirting with Chocolate all night, so that’s who he spent the night with, and he couldn’t wait to have her fat chocolate ass bouncing on his dick. He knew he would regret it later, but the alcohol and kush flowing through his body made all his bad decisions seem so right. After their sex session and a few blunts, both of them were out cold.

When Savage woke up the next morning, he called Mac to make sure he was up. They sent Chocolate and Juicy Fruit on their way, then Mac dropped Savage off at home. Savage took a quick shower then he made sure he called Aleesha before he got his day started.

“Good mornin’ beautiful,” he said into the receiver as soon as she answered.

“Good morning daddy,” Aleesha sang back. “How was this meeting of yours?” she asked sarcastically, putting extra emphasis on the word meeting.

“It went well. Real well,” he said, noticing the sarcasm in her voice.

“Good.”

“What you got planned for today though?” he asked, trying to change the subject.

“Nothing, just hang out with Tia some more,” she replied.

“Cool, cool. What did y’all do yesterday?”

“Just went to the spa, got our nails and feet done and got a massage. Man babe I felt so relaxed after that. Then we got something to eat and went to the movies.”

“Sounds hella fun. What y’all doin’ today?”

“She has this event for her sorority at her school so I’m going with her to that. Then I’m going to this fraternity party with her later.”

“Oh okay, don’t have too much fun. I don’t want to have to kill one of them college niggas,” Savage joked.

“Shut up babe,” Aleesha said, breaking out into laughter. “You already know I’ll be on straight business when I’m there.”

“I’m just kidding babe,” he said as they enjoyed a laugh over the phone. “Have fun. I’ll be home in a couple days. I love you wifey.”

“Okay babe, I love you too.”

As soon as he hung up the phone, Savage immediately felt guilty about the dirt he did. He wanted to tell Aleesha the truth about everything, but if he did, he knew that it would be the end to everything they had together. He knew he had to make it up to her and make everything right before they said their vows, so he decided to surprise her with a new car. He bought one, but further decided to wait until her birthday to give it to her. He wanted to have a lot of custom work put into it, so over the next few days, that’s what occupied him. Then he finally headed back to the bay to be with his woman.
