Later That Night...

“Alright, y’all ready?” the female driver asked as she looked at the time. She and four other females were sitting in her car, killing time on their phones and talking. They were parked down the street from Mary Jane Getaway, and were waiting for Aleesha to lock down the shop and leave.

“Yeah we ready,” one of the other females said as they seen Aleesha exit the building.

It was around one in the morning, and Aleesha had just finished locking up the shop. She always stayed late by herself to balance the books and do inventory. Something told her not to leave her .22 in the car that day, but she went against her judgment and did anyway. As she walked to her Audi, she was faced with a danger no one could expect.

Aleesha sounded her car alarm as she walked closer to unlock the doors. As soon as she opened the car door, four people dressed in all black and wearing ski masks ran up on her and starting throwing punches every way possible. She dropped everything as she struggled to fight back, but the unknown attack caught her off guard. Punches kept getting thrown from every direction, and one of the attackers got her to the ground. The hits kept coming, as one of them began kicking her. She kept trying to fight back but became overpowered, so she curled up in the fetal position as she covered her face and tried to protect her stomach.

Aleesha laid on the ground in agony as she received kick after kick and punch after punch. She knew from the pain coming from her legs that one of them had been broken, and she felt one of her ribs crack. Finally, after what seemed like eternity, she heard the honking of a car horn and the aggressors let up on her, all running away except for one.

“That was for Cali, bitch!” a female voice hissed before she spit on Aleesha and ran away.

Aleesha tried to make out the voice, but couldn’t recognize it. She just wished she would have kept her burner on her that day. She heard a car peel off and tried to look up to get a glimpse of it, but it was already too late. The car and her attackers were gone just as quick as they had come.

Aleesha laid on the ground crying. Her body seemed like it was broken in a million pieces, and her whole abdomen fiercely began to cramp. The pain was starting to become intolerable, and she could feel herself drifting in and out of consciousness. Her phone had fallen just a few inches away from her, and she managed to reach out and pick it up. She was able to unlock it, scroll through the call log to Savage’s name, and call him.

“Yeah babe,” Savage said as he picked up after the first ring.

“Babe ... please come get me,” Aleesha mustered before she passed out.
