Letter To God
Dear God,
I do not believe that you exist like the Bible says you do, but just in case I am incorrect, I want you to know why I came to the conclusion I did so that if Hell exists, you don’t make me go there.
I have read your book, the Bible, cover to cover, with an open heart and an open mind. I have read many books about you from both atheist and Christian authors. I did what Christians suggest and asked you, in prayer, to reveal yourself to me. Well, you didn’t. In addition, the mind that you have given me, along with my understanding of logic, reason, and common sense, has led me to the conclusion that you do not exist outside of our minds.
I will continue to live my life according to the moral and ethical standards that are within me, whether there by evolution, society, or placed there by you. If this is not good enough for you, I accept my final destination next to other non-believers of you, like Gandhi, Buddha, and the billions of other kind, loving, and often spiritual people who just happened to pick the wrong religion.
Thank you in advance for your understanding, and thank you for everything (literally).
Your Creation,
Bo Bennett
