The Savory Institute was founded by Allan Savory and a group of long-time holistic managers and innovators dedicated to restoring the vast grasslands of the world through the teaching and practice of Holistic Management. Through our Consulting and Training division, we serve a variety of clients. They include private and corporate land owners and government agencies seeking practical, affordable and sustainable solutions to land management challenges, and non-government organizations (NGOs) assisting pastoralists and small farmers to restore degraded land and water sources and attain food security. Savory Institute Associate Consultants in North America, Australia, East and Southern Africa, and elsewhere, work with us to provide these services and also enable us to offer workshops, on-site consulting, custom training and personalized coaching to individuals, groups and small businesses.
We are assisted in Africa by our sister organization, the Africa Centre for Holistic Management in Zimbabwe, which utilizes its 6,700-acre Dimbangombe Ranch and the communities neighboring it as a large-scale learning site for NGOs and others enrolled in training programs.
Through our Grasslands division, we work with partners to purchase ranches that we manage holistically for investors while creating competitive annual financial returns. Our ranches provide outstanding employment opportunities for both experienced and up-and-coming land managers while contributing to the healing and renewed resilience of rural communities. We are directing a flow of capital back to the land and producing Triple Bottom Line returns via the practice of Holistic Management, at scale.
The Savory Institute publishes a monthly e-newsletter, which regularly updates the ideas presented in this book. On our website, we publish a blog that shares the latest news on Holistic Management and its practitioners, and provide a discussion forum in which readers can share new insights, or case studies drawn from their practice of Holistic Management.
