A former management consultant and senior corporate executive with Ralph Lauren in New York, J. Morris Hicks has always focused on the “big picture” when analyzing any issue. In 2002, after becoming curious about our “optimal diet,” he began an intensive study of what we eat from a global perspective—discovering many startling issues and opportunities along the way.
Leveraging his expertise in making complex things simple, he is now helping people everywhere understand the staggering “big picture” impact of how our food choices affect so many crucial aspects of life as we know it—beginning with our own health and the out-of-control cost of health care. In his new career as a writer, speaker, blogger, and consultant, he is now working to improve the global human feeding model—all aimed at promoting health, hope, and harmony on planet Earth.
He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University and an MBA from the University of Hawaii. In 2009, he earned a Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Foundation and Cornell University. Since 2003, he has resided in the seaside village of Stonington, Connecticut.
