Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of His,
And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.
For His anger is but for a moment,
His favor is for life;
Weeping may endure for a night,
But joy comes in the morning.
PSALM 30:4–5
Sometimes, Lord, I find it easy to sing praises and give thanks to You, the One who gives my life meaning. Yet other times my heart is heavy, and my weeping does “endure for a night.” So I cling to Your promise: joy in You—joy beyond comparison, joy without end—will come in the morning, and Your favor “is for life.”
