“I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”

Compassionate and gracious Father, You invite me to go to You in prayer and seek Your will, and You promise that when I knock, the door “will be opened [to me].” So, Lord, enable me to persevere in my praying, to keep knocking when I lay before You requests from my heart. And please give me wisdom and a keen sensitivity to Your guidance so that I am praying Your will, and then provide me the strength I need to carry out Your will. Grow me into a person of prayer who rejoices in Your presence and revels in the privilege of prayer.
