Lord Jesus my Good Shepherd, You know what Your followers need, and You meet those needs. You also know the human yearning for peace. Not peace “as the world gives,” but Your peace. I can’t know Your peace, though, when I try to solve every problem on my own, when I neglect to go to You for the solutions and the guidance that only You can give. Yet any peace “the world gives” cannot compare to the perfect peace I find in You. In You alone, Jesus, will my heart not be troubled or afraid. After all, the peace You give can overcome any fear I may have, and I thank You for revealing that truth to me.
