UNITY AND PEACE

Walk worthy of the calling with which you were called . . . endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

EPHESIANS 4:1, 3–6

Lord of love, it’s been said that the world will know we are Your people by the love we have for one another. No wonder You call us—You command us—to “keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” I ask You to help me make every effort toward that end. For “there is one body and one Spirit . . . one Lord, one faith,” and I thank You for opening my eyes to that truth. So, as I walk with You through each day, please enable me, moment by moment, to choose to depend on Your Spirit so You can use me to be a peacemaker and a bridge builder.
