By grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
EPHESIANS 2:8–10
God of truth and light, I thank You for the priceless gift of salvation. Because of the sacrifice of Your Son, because of His death on the cross, my sins are forgiven, I am no longer separated from you—I am blessed to be in relationship with You now and for eternity. Create in me the desire to serve You faithfully, that I may do the “good works . . . [that You] prepared beforehand” for me. And may I also share with others the reason for my hope, the reason that I serve—the gift of faith in Jesus Christ, my Savior. Help me Lord to walk in step with You each and every day, that I might reflect the love You have promised.
