2 Chronicles 34:8–22
While Josiah was destroying idols, others were repairing the temple. There they found an old book written on rolls of leather. This was the book of the law that God gave to Moses. It had been hidden so long that it was forgotten. Saphan brought the book to King Josiah.
Josiah heard the law read for the first time in many years. Terrified, he directed, “Go and seek the Lord. Someone must know about the law. We’ve had all these troubles because our ancestors ignored God’s word.”
Huldah the prophetess lived in Jerusalem. She could understand God’s law.
Questions: How did Josiah feel when he heard the law read? Who did he find to help him understand the law?
