Daniel 6:18–28
After King Darius locked Daniel in the lions’ den, he couldn’t sleep. He was worried about Daniel. Early the next morning, the king ran to the lions’ den.
He called, “Daniel, has God kept you safe from the lions?” The king thought he would hear the lions roar. But instead, he heard the voice of Daniel:
“God sent his angel who shut the lions’ mouths. He knew I had done nothing wrong. The lions haven’t hurt me.” So the king took Daniel out of the den. He punished the men who were so jealous of Daniel.
