Hello, Elizabeth.” Mary had come to see her cousin, Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s voice, her baby jumped inside her. She was filled with the Holy Spirit.
“Mary! You are the most blessed of all women,” Elizabeth exclaimed. “Your baby is blessed, too. Why has my Lord’s mother come to see me? When I heard your voice, my baby jumped for joy inside me.”
Some months later, Elizabeth’s baby, John, was born. He would grow up in the wilderness—a Nazarite priest for God. This was the last prophet—John the Baptist.
