Day 214

The Angel’s Announcement

Luke 2:8–20

That night, shepherds guarded their sheep near Bethlehem. Suddenly, they were surrounded with light. An angel stood there. The shepherds were terrified.

“Don’t be afraid. I’ve come to give you good news. Today, in Bethlehem, Christ the Lord has been born. You’ll find him wrapped in a blanket, sleeping in a feed trough.”

Suddenly, the sky was filled with angels praising God. “Glory to God in heaven! On earth, peace and good will.”

“Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this wonderful thing.”

And they did. There they found Mary, Joseph, and Jesus, as the angel had said.

Questions: Who did the angels say was born? What did the angels say when they praised God?
