Luke 5:12–16
In one city was a man covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he bowed to the ground. “If you choose,” he begged, “you can make me clean.”
“I do choose this,” Jesus said. “Be made clean.” Instantly, the leprosy was gone. Jesus ordered him to tell no one. “Show the priest and make an offering to God.”
But more than ever the news about Jesus spread. People were amazed when they heard him. Crowds would gather to listen and be healed of disease. Sometimes Jesus would get away to secluded places and pray.
