Blind Bartimaeus sat by the Jericho road begging. “Jesus is walking by,” someone said.
“Jesus, Son of David,” Bartimaeus shouted. “Have mercy on me!” The people in front sternly ordered him to be quiet. But Bartimaeus only shouted louder: “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him.
“What do you want me to do for you?”
“Lord, let me see again.”
“Receive your sight,” said Jesus. “Your faith has saved you.” Instantly, Bartimaeus could see. He followed Jesus praising God with all the people.
