Acts 9:1–5
A young man named Saul approved of Stephen’s death. Then Saul began to run the believers out of Jerusalem. He breathed threats and murder against the disciples. Dragged from their houses, believers were jailed.
Saul went to the high priest for permission to go to Damascus. He planned to arrest men and women who followed Jesus’ way. When Saul came near Damascus, a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground. A voice said, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”
“Who are you, Lord?” asked Saul.
“I’m Jesus, the one you’re harassing.”
Questions: Why did Saul go to Damascus? What did Jesus ask Saul?
