Exodus 2:1–10
A baby boy was born in Goshen. His mother saw that he was a fine boy. She hid him from the Egyptians for three months. When she couldn’t hide him any longer, she wove a basket. It was made so no water could leak into it. She put the boy in the basket. Then she floated it among the reeds by the river.
Pharaoh’s daughter bathed in the river at that place. She discovered the basket and felt sorry for the crying baby. She kept him and named him Moses.
Questions: Why did the mother hide her baby? Where did Pharaoh’s daughter find the baby?
