Exodus 14:15–30
Trapped between the army and the Red Sea, Israel cried out. Moses said, “The Lord will fight for you” and lifted his staff over the sea. “You’ll never see the Egyptians again.”
All night an east wind blew. The water split in two and the sea became dry. Israel went into the sea on dry ground following the Lord. The water formed two walls.
The Egyptians chased after them. But the wheels fell from their chariots, and they tried to run. Just then, Moses lifted his staff again. The sea returned and Egypt drowned.
