Exodus 15:1–25
On the other side of the Red Sea, Moses wrote a song. It is about God’s victory over Egypt. Together, Israel sang the song. It begins like this:
I will sing to the Lord for his glorious victory.
He threw the horse and rider into the sea.
The Lord is my strength and my song.
He has become my salvation.
Now they were in a huge desert. As they traveled, they became thirsty. They found a pool, but the water was bad. They were angry and called it Marah which means “bitter.” God told Moses, “Cut a tree and throw it in the water.” This made the water fresh.
Questions: Why were the people happy and singing? Why did they get angry?
