Joshua 3:1–17
The spies reported to Joshua and Israel packed to travel. Joshua gave the order, and they moved toward the rushing river. Priests led the way carrying the ark of the covenant.
God told Joshua, “The feet of the priests will stand in the river. Then the water flowing down will be cut off.” So the priests walked into the Jordan, and the river stood still. Up river, the water piled up in a heap. The entire nation of Israel crossed the Jordan on dry ground. When the priests walked out, the river began to flow again.
Questions: How were the people able to cross the river? Who went into the river first?
