Joshua 23:1–24:33
Joshua was more than 100 years old. So he called the leaders of the twelve tribes together. Joshua spoke to them in love. He told them their story beginning with Abraham. He reminded them of all the Lord had done. “Now,” Joshua said, “fear the Lord. Serve him with all your heart.”
The people said, “We’ll do this.”
So Joshua set up a huge stone by the oak in Shechem. “This stone stands for the fact that God has heard your promise.”
Joshua died at age 110. Israel served God as long as the people remembered Joshua.
Questions: What did Joshua say to the leaders of Israel? Why did he set up the stone?
