Part II

Eternal Rituals and Endless Meetings

In this part . . .

W e look at the Church from the bottom up, so to speak. We start with the ward (local congregation) and stake (regional gathering of wards) and reveal everything that goes on from day to day and week to week. You find out what to expect if someone invites you to attend a Mormon sacrament meeting (Sunday service), baptism, or funeral, and you get the scoop on all the different activities and organizations at the ward and stake levels.

Then you take a trip inside a Mormon temple and see why Mormons feel that temples are so important for the spiritual health of the living — and the dead. Finally, you go on a quick tour of Church headquarters in Salt Lake City, meeting the General Authorities and learning about the semiannual televised meeting led by Church leaders and the welfare and Humanitarian Relief programs that help poor people all over the world.
