SMART SHOPPING: Ramen Noodles
Though inexpensive instant ramen noodles are a favorite among college students, we don’t like their salty, stale-tasting seasoning. However, we do like to use plain ramen noodles in our own Asian-inspired recipes; we just discard the seasoning packet and add our own flavorings. Ramen noodles are typically fried in oil then dried, so the noodles both are flavorful and take only a few minutes to cook, making them more convenient than many other dried noodles.
