QUICK PREP TIP: Working with Habaneros

Hotter than jalapeños and even serranos, habaneros are very spicy chiles and require proper handling. While working with habaneros, wear gloves to avoid direct contact with the oils that supply heat. If you don’t wear gloves, make absolutely sure to wash your hands thoroughly immediately after handling the chile. Also wash your knife and cutting board well once you are finished prepping.
