QUICK PREP TIP: Rustic Croutons


Tear 1 (18-inch) baguette into ¾-inch pieces. Toss bread with 2 tablespoons vegetable oil and season with ¼ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper. Spread bread in rimmed baking sheet and bake in 475-degree oven until golden brown, about 10 minutes. Let croutons cool to room temperature before using. Makes 3 cups.
