QUICK PREP TIP: Spraying Your Slow Cooker

When cooking a smaller amount of food in the slow cooker, as with our scaled-down recipes for two, more evaporation can occur, leading some dishes to stick to the sides of the slow-cooker insert and burn. To avoid this, be sure to spray the sides of the slow-cooker insert with vegetable oil spray before adding any food. This not only prevents your dishes from burning but also makes serving and cleanup easier.
