Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.

In a rare radio interview, the Duchess of Cambridge spoke about her experiences as a child and now a mother of three. A British personality hosted the podcast, which offered Kate Middleton a chance to talk about her initiative to help parents maximize their children’s early development. I loved what she said about her own upbringing: “I had an amazing granny who devoted a lot of time to us, playing with us, doing arts and crafts and going to the greenhouse to do gardening, and cooking with us.” The duchess also spoke about the importance of kids’ spending time outdoors, which I try to do as often as possible with mine, even if it’s for a short walk or stroll. It sure was nice to hear some thoughts from Kate. Her voice is so seldom heard that I think it makes us lean in more when she speaks. By the way, Duchess, your kids are beautiful!
