—William Whyte
So true! So many times we think we’ve gotten our point across to someone, but nothing changes. We wonder: was it a misfire by the messenger or the listener? Joel and I sometimes have to reboot—as do all couples—when we’re not having enough meaningful conversations. You know when you find yourselves only talking about the weather or the kids or what’s for dinner? That’s when it’s time to carve out some space for a sit-down—no kids, no phones, no small talk. (But not after eight p.m., please, because I’m running on fumes.)
