Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park is Walt Disney World’s fourth and newest theme park; it opened in 1998. Spanning 580 acres, it is the largest Disney park ever built. It is so big that you could fit all the other theme parks at Walt Disney World inside it and have room to spare.
Animal Kingdom is the best themed of all the parks with remarkable attention to detail. This is the sixth most visited park in the world, with 13.9 million visitors in 2019.
COVID-19 CHANGES:
At the moment as well as needing a park ticket, you also need a Park Pass Reservation for the first park you wish to visit each day - do this at DisneyWorld.com. Face coverings are required for guests ages 2 and up at all times at the parks except when eating while stationary. Guests will be temperature screened to enter the park. At the time of writing all parades, shows and fireworks are suspended. FastPass+ and Single Rider lines are suspended at all parks. Other offerings may be reduced or suspended.
