Anti-Flu Tonic

SERVES 1; MAKES 500 ML (17 FL OZ/2 CUPS)

When I feel a little under the weather, or when everyone around me seems to be, this is the concoction I sip on, to keep the bugs at bay. The best part is that it’s actually mighty tasty, so it’s more like a treat than medicine!

450 ml (16 fl oz) Superfood tea base

juice of 1 lemon

1 tablespoon cold-pressed extra virgin coconut oil

2 tablespoons finely desiccated coconut

1 cm (½ inch) knob of fresh turmeric, peeled and chopped

1 cm (½ inch) knob of fresh ginger, peeled and chopped

2 tablespoons coconut nectar
