SIMPLE CHEWY CEREAL PROTEIN BARS
Something for the kids, and you!
SERVES 15
¾ c. raw honey
3 scoops vanilla vegetarian protein powder
¾ c. nut butter
¾ c. applesauce
1 10 oz. box crisp rice or flake cereal
½ cup of your favorite dried berries, cranberries, raisins, blueberries, cherries, etc.
Method
Preheat oven to 350
In a large stainless steel or oven safe bowl, or even casserole dish, mix honey, protein, nut butter and applesauce together and put in the oven for 6 minutes or so, until mixture is heated and almost all liquid
Take bowl out with care, it will be hot
Stir and mix together
Add cereal and stir thoroughly until cereal is coated
Stir in dried fruit
Spray a 9x13 dish or pan with non-stick spray and using a spatula press mixture evenly into dish
Refrigerate and cut into bars
