Sugar Free Chocolate Ice Cream
The difference between plain yogurt and Greek yogurt is the amount of times it gets strained and how much liquid remains after the straining process is completed. One of the best health benefits of Greek yogurt is the probiotics that it offers.
Ingredients
Plain gelatin.....1 teaspoon, plain
Milk.....2 ½ cups, low fat
Sugar Free chocolate drink mix..... ½ cup ( I recommend the Nestle brand )
Plain Greek yogurt..... 1 cup
Vanilla extract..... 1 teaspoon
Dash of salt
Ice cream maker
Directions
In a small saucepan on medium high heat, add one half cup of milk and gelatin. Stir until the gelatin dissolves in the milk then remove from heat.
While the gelatin is dissolving, fill the kitchen sink with enough cold water to submerge the saucepan halfway, allowing the gelatin contents to cool quickly to room temperature.
Pour the cooled gelatin into a blender or food processor. Add the remaining milk, yogurt, vanilla, milk chocolate mix, and salt to the gelatin mixture and blend until smooth.
Cover and chill in the refrigerator until ready to freeze.
Blend for a few seconds before pouring into the ice cream maker.
Follow the ice cream maker’s directions from this point forward.
