Base folder

Let's refer to this as the root directory. This directory contains three folders, which are wp-admin, wp-content, and wp-includes, and a bunch of PHP files, including the most important one, wp-config.php.

The base folder contains all of the other PHP files and classes required for the core operations of WordPress.
