Chapter 8

Lil Man

“Man Big Moe, take me to the hospital. This shit hurts!”

“Fuck naw! I’mma take you to Leaks and Sons on 79th.”

I looked at this nigga as if he was crazy. “Why the fuck you taking me to a funeral home for? I ain’t dead!”

He had the nerve to look at me and smile. “Yo ass will be if you don’t get that bullet removed from that hole. Who shot you?”

“Man, I dunno. I had they asses too. All of them scary ass hoes hit the floor.” I had to laugh at myself because my adrenaline was still pumping. That shit was so crazy I pissed my pants. “What’s going on? Come on, fuck. I’m bleeding, asshole.”

“Shut yo lil punk ass up. It’s a shoulder wound lil crybaby ass nigga.”

Shoulder wound or not, my shit hurts. I got a million thoughts running through my head. Why was Meech hugging one of them hoes? Where he know them from? Is that nigga plotting on me? I’mma get to the bottom of this shit. I’m killing everybody. Damn, I’m getting lightheaded.

SMACK! SMACK!

“Don’t pass out in my shit lil nigga, we here!”

Young Meech

What’s really going on? I been calling Lil Man’s phone all damn day and he’s not answering. When I got back in the truck after the shooting, he was gone. I’m happy as shit I found my sister, but I’m worried about my dude.

“Damn! It’s a fucking bullethole in this lady’s truck!”

My phone started ringing. Why the hell did it have to be my Auntie? “Hey Auntie.”

“Hey Auntie, my ass! Where you at with my truck, boy?”

“You not gon believe this. I found Miko.” It was quiet for a few seconds. I knew her lil tough ass was crying. “Auntie, you heard me?”

“Is she okay? Where she at?”

“We had a minor problem at Fred and Jack’s, but we cool.”

“Minor problem? What happened?”

“Man Auntie, some nigga shot up the restaurant.”

“WHAT?”

“We cool. Dirty and me got his ass up off us. I hit him in the back.”

“With what gun? You got that gun outta yo daddy’s bag, didn’t you?”

“Yes, ma’am.”

“Where y’all at now?”

“On the way to Miko’s house on 84th and Marquette.”

“I’ll meet you there.”

JuJu

I don’t know why we are always in the line of fire. We ain’t did shit to nobody, I don’t think. We been laying low, so why are niggas shooting at us?

“JuJu, where was you just at girl?”

“My bad E, you know I gotta tell Jaw about this.”

E shook her head. “Don’t do that. Yo ass gon be under lock and key for real.”

On some real shit, we need to go on and hit them banks before shit gets real. Things been wild around here. My Auntie Lil Mama been on another planet. That situation with Boo got her stressing. Money has got to be made around here, feel me? And we are gonna be the ones to make it!

When we got to Tiki’s crib, we all hopped out with caution. “E, grab that bag outta the trunk.” As always, her mouth is on point with the slick shit.

“Fuck wrong with yo hands?”

“Do what I said and come the hell on.”

Once we got to the crib, we got down to business. “Okay look, we need to go ahead with our plans ASAP. I overheard Jaw and Poohman’s conversation and they got something big going on in like a week. I heard they was about to get a big shipment coming in. I think some real shit is about to go down. We gon need the need the extra bread to have their backs. Y’all with it?”

ReRe was in deep thought so I got to her first. “Re, what’s good?”

“I’m worried that Poohman is going to get hurt again.”

“Aww girl, shake that shit off. That nigga a goon.”

Just as I was about to go in on her, Tiki’s lil brother walked in. “How you know what house to go to?”

“I showed him.” My little cousin Tyesha walked in with a smile on her face. “He pulled up and he looked lost so I asked him if he needed some help.”

I looked at him with a smirk. “And let me guess, you wanted to All-State assist his ass, didn’t you?”

“Whatever cuz.”

Meech stepped up with a big ass smile on his face. “What up y’all? What I miss?”

I thought about it for a minute. “Tiki let me holla at you for a minute.” We dipped off to the other room. She looked at me with this ’Un—Uh bitch’ look. “What you thinking?”bitch?”

“You saw how yo brother handled himself at the restaurant? We can use the extra muscle.”

“Damn Ju, I don’t know if he into that shit. I just barely saw him.”

“If he toted a pistol, he into something.”

She thought about it for a second. “Yeah, you right. I’mma see what he about.”

We headed back into the living room and the first thing I saw was Tyesha and Meechie all boo’ed up on the couch. “Aw yeah lil cuz, let me find out.”

We been on good terms ever since I started making money. Her mama, my auntie, is still a hoodrat. I make sure her gear is right. I also stopped her from fucking with them niggaz and she is still in school. I’m on that ass. So to see her flirty with someone her own age is kinda cute.

“Tiki, holla at Meech. Tyesha, come on, let’s go find us some business.”

Auntie Shawn

“Let me know what time you gon be ready. I need that ASAP!”

Damn, being in the game is hard. It’s always something. I’m dying to see my niece. I been thinking about her for years, always wondering where she was. It’s time to think about another career. This shit ain’t gon be my life. While driving through the streets of Chicago, I begin to miss my brother. He was that nigga. I’mma make it my business to find and kill the nigga that took him from me.

I’mma find that bitch ass nigga, Tank too. Word around town is that Tank had his nephew kill my brother. I’mma do my homework before I make it rain on these streets and I’m not talking ‘bout no fucking hundreds.

RING! RING!

“Yeah, Meech? I’m around the corner, what’s up?”

“I dunno. Have Lil Man been around the house?”

“I ain’t seen him. Why?”

“I can’t say, but something ain’t right.”

“I’m in front of the house now, tryna find a parking spot. MEECHIE, WHAT THE HELL? IS THAT BULLET HOLES IN MY FUCKING TRUCK?”

“Auntie, let me explain.”

“EXPLAIN MY ASS! BOY, I”MMA KILL YOU!”

CLICK!
