Bacon-Wrapped Maple Scallops

Easy to make, these scallops can make for elegant dinner fare or talk-of-the-party hors d’oeuvres.

Ingredients

Serves 10

20 sea scallops

10 slices bacon, halved

1 recipe Pumpkin Maple Glaze (see Chapter 13)

  1. Preheat broiler and line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Wrap each scallop with bacon; secure with a toothpick and transfer to baking sheet.
  3. Broil 10–12 minutes, turning once, until bacon is fully cooked on all sides.
  4. Drizzle glaze evenly over scallops and serve immediately.
