Baked Moroccan-Style Halibut

This recipe was created with a combination of ingredients and spices you may find the next time you eat a Moroccan dish!

1 pint cherry tomatoes

14 cup pitted black olives

18 teaspoon wheat-free asafetida powder

12 teaspoon ground cumin

14 teaspoon ground cinnamon

14 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

4 (6-ounce) fresh halibut fillets

2 tablespoons olive oil

  1. Preheat oven 450°F.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, stir together tomatoes, olives, asafetida, cumin, cinnamon, and black pepper.
  3. Add halibut to a large baking dish. Sprinkle tomato mixture evenly over fish. Drizzle oil over fish.
  4. Bake 10–15 minutes or until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest fillet reads 145°F. Serve immediately.
