Makes 40
• 3/4 cup (165g) sugar
• 400g butter, cut into tenths
• 400g can condensed milk
• 5 cups (850g) self-raising flour
• 40 Licorice Allsorts
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper. Place sugar into the thermo bowl.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Add condensed milk and flour.

or until combined. Chill for 10 minutes in the refrigerator. Take a heaped tablespoon of dough. Press a Licorice Allsort into it. Work the dough around the licorice, or add a little more dough to completely cover it entirely. Place on the prepared tray, about 3cm. Press gently with a fork. Bake for 15 minutes or until just golden. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
TIP: This recipe lends itself so well to many add-ins. Think choc chips, dried fruits, chopped nuts, sprinkles, flavoured sugars. It also freezes well wrapped in glad wrap.
