Have you ever seen a brown paper bag you didn’t like or didn’t keep? Stack after stack of brown bags are in garages across America because we think that someday we’ll find a reason to use them. Don’t feel guilty about getting rid of all those bags. After all, they are biodegradable and will break down in our landfills. And you’re always able to collect them faster than you can use them.
Check to see what else is piling up in your garage. Cans and bottles you keep meaning to take in to the recycle center for refunds. Newspapers. Months and months worth of newspapers. Surplus supplies that you stock up on because you are a wise shopper. (But how many extra packages of toilet paper do you need?) Do you have piles of formerly used sports equipment, toys or carpet remnants from a project two years ago? The garage could use a touch of de-cluttering.
