JOHANNA NEUMAN is an author, historian, and Scholar in Residence at American University in Washington, D.C. A former journalist for the Los Angeles Times and USA Today, she covered the White House, the State Department, Congress, and the Smithsonian Institution. A former Nieman Fellow at Harvard University, she also served as president of the White House Correspondents Association in 1989–1990. Now a full-time writer and lecturer, she lives with Jeff Glazer in Delray Beach, Florida.
