RETIREMENT

A dime out of every dollar—it’s a simple enough rule when it comes to saving for retirement. Yet life happens and many of us don’t get around to saving. In the end, saving money is a choice; there’s no requirement that you do it. No one wants to be a burden on family, and government is not riding to the rescue. So if saving is not something that’s important to you, it simply means you’ll probably have to work longer.

In this chapter, we meet four people who highlight the spectrum of possibilities when it comes to saving for retirement. And I’ll show you how their choices play out so you can learn from their examples.
