HEADBAND

People have been wearing flowers in their hair since the beginning of time, so why not try succulents there? Unlike flowers that quickly die, succulents can last weeks, even months, without soil or water, making them a perfect living accessory. Whether for a special occasion like an outdoor wedding or day-to-day wear, succulent hair accessories have an unrivaled natural beauty.

WHAT YOU NEED

WHAT TO DO

  1. Cut two circles out of your felt. You will want the circles to be about the size of your plant or group of plants since it is going to serve as the base or support for them.

  2. Decide where you want your plants to sit on the headband and glue one of the circles to the underside of the headband and the other circle on top of it.

  3. Make sure your succulent cuttings have their stems cut as close to the base of the plant as possible.

  4. Hold your plants upside down, apply hot glue to the lower leaves, and gently press the plants onto the felt circle base that you attached to your headband.

  5. Use your scissors to cut away any part of the felt circle that is not hidden by your plants.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

When your succulents begin to wither, carefully remove them from your headband and plant them in well-draining soil.

TIP!
