CHOCOLATE PROTEIN NANA SMOOTHIE SHAKE
Serves 1
1 banana, peeled and frozen • 250 ml (8½ fl oz) almond milk
1 tbsp smooth peanut butter • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
1 scoop chocolate protein powder • 1 tsp maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract • ice cubes (optional)
This is one of my favourite shakes. It’s really delicious, filling and full of protein. Perfect for post-workout or for when you are in need of a satisfying something to keep you going.
Put the banana in a food processor and blend until thick and creamy, scraping down the sides every 30 seconds. Process until the mixture becomes completely smooth and has the consistency of soft-serve ice cream. Add the rest of the ingredients to the blender and blitz again, until smooth. For an extra-cold smoothie, add a few ice cubes. If it’s too thick, add a little more almond milk.
