HOT CHOCOLATE

Serves 1

125 ml (4 fl oz) rice milk or milk of choice • 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips
½ tsp cocoa powder • ¼ tsp vanilla extract • a tiny pinch of chilli powder (optional)
a pinch of salt • 1 medium banana, peeled and sliced

Take it to the next level and add a dollop of nice cream (of choice) to your hot chocolate.

Combine the rice milk, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, chilli powder (if desired) and salt in a small saucepan. Gently heat, stirring constantly. Just as the drink begins to simmer, pour it into a blender, add the banana and blend until smooth and creamy.
